TileStack.com Release - Delicass - Version: 0.8.0

Tags: Release | Has 0 comments
This release includes a number of features that will enable you to create very attractive stacks. Much of the stack playing system was rebuilt to be theme-able. This means that you can now build iPhone stacks that look like iPhone apps. There is also a more modern looking default theme. Also we have added support for basic animations of buttons and fields. Read on to learn more.

TOP NEW FEATURES

  • Themes - You can now select one of four themes to determine the look and feel of your stack.
    • TileStack - The new default is a modern theme that looks great in any context.
    • iPhone - Create stacks that look and feel just like native iPhone apps.
    • Facebook - Matches the look of the popular social networking site.
    • HyperCard - We're not forgetting our roots. Create stacks just like it was 1989. (This is the theme for all imported stacks).
  • Animations - It's always been possible to animate parts moving by writing speak code that utilizes that idle loop. Now TileStack provides native support for part animations via the 'visual effect' command. We have also created some new 'Button Tasks' that will write this code for you. To access these just click the icon which is just to the left of the script icon.
  • Media Browser - Managing images and sounds uploaded to your stacks just got a whole lot easier. Just click the new icon next to the upload resource icon to launch the new media browser. The media browser shows you thumbnail previews of all image resources and allows you to preview your sound resources.
  • Public Media Library - Inside the new media browser is a public library of images for you to use in your stacks. We'll be increasing the content over time.

OTHER NEW FEATURES

  • Parts now have an opacity property. This can be any number between 0 and 100, with 0 being fully transparent and 100 being fully opaque.
  • Buttons now have an iconPosition property. This can be either "top", "bottom", "left", "right", or "stretch". The iconPosition refers to the location of an icon in a button in relation to the name of the button. (If showName is false, the button will be centered in all cases).
